havent really run into a time where this is needed. Now that CW (on 91W) logs properly I dont really need it (manual PID entry)
With all due respect, you have not put in everything into your receiver then.
Within the first 20 minutes I found I had to use manual pid entry on a freq at 99.0W Galaxy 16 C-band.
The blind scan will not put in certain signals if they have it set up a certain way on satellite.
Only manual entry will work.
The manual pid entry is a bit tricky but does appear to work most times.
it also brought in a second freq on Galaxy 16 that said failed on blind scan but when it came up the picture looked like a high def picture on a 920 4DTV receiver without an HDD-200 box. (blocked into squares and rolling and pixelated). Not sure why yet but will check it out later when time permits.
But so far the manual pid entry is working where I needed it. Was a little time to find it since it is not listed as manual pid entry but something a little different. (not at the box right now to say what exactly it says for this menu).
Appears you only have to enter Freq, SR Video pid, audio pid and pcr for it to pull it in.
Receiver will not "always" show you what is found "on the screen" you are in at the time you manually scan but when you go to the channel list I did see they were in the list and needed to be renamed properly.
