Anything new on @#%^(* OTA PG Issue?

Is there any news on when we will see program guide information of the OTA channels? This manual timer routine is the pits! :mad:

Yea, I think that one is "normal". Dish only intends on providing program guide data on channels that they actually carry as a local-in-local chennel. Since PBS has different programming on their HD channel than their main channel which is carried by Dish, they don't provide you the programming guide data for the PBS-HD channel.

Actually, later I discovered that I don't have even the primary PBS station or the UPN primary on the PG. I am surprised that I noticed the UPN station, but the PBS station is a disappointment. Did you get your stations up?

I just noticed that this problem seems to have finally been fixed in my market (Knoxville, TN). I now get programming guide data for ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, WB and PBS (the programing guide data provided for PBS is the one that is carried by Dish, so it is the standard def feed that the programming info comes in for.) It took dang long enough, but at least they seem to finally have it working. I sure hope it doesn't stop working. I checked this a couple of days ago and didn't have the prgramming guide data for ABC and FOX at that time. Is this fixed for everyone now?

My last two local digitals started showing up in the program guide a couple of weeks after P3.30 was released. I suspect that the local stations got their act together at that time. The same may have just occurred in Knoxville.

I was just thinking about this thread last night...wanted to add that PG data for some locals and channels from other DMAs is slowly being populated over the past couple months. It's not perfect, but it has been getting better. Also, the PG I am receiving for channels outside the home DMA does not match up against the FCC SV:

SpaceX has held talks with Boost's parent company EchoStar in recent months about launching its own signature wireless service through a deal with the company, according to two people familiar with the negotiations.
Musk, the SpaceX CEO, has discussed the deal personally, meeting with EchoStar chairman Charlie Ergen last month, according to the people. The potential deal may result in SpaceX acquiring Boost Mobile or SpaceX gaining access to its network, which it leases from AT&T and T-Mobile US, the people said.
Access to those lease agreements would be a coup for SpaceX. The back door would allow Musk to make a play for a U.S. wireless market that equity research firm MoffettNathanson estimates is worth $235 billion. But the proposed service may need consent from those carriers for the service to actually launch, the people said.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Elon soon own all of DISH / Echostar in the future.

Again, if so, why would he want Dish/Sling of all the providers?

He could deliver anything without actually owning, for example, watching the Lions game in my Tesla Y on it's screen via the YT app, while on the way to my future in-laws on Sunday.

If Musk really wants to buy Boost, he might get a great price once Dish Wireless is out of Chapter 11.

Boost just lost 182,000 subs in the 3rd quarter-

Other than the price, my experience with Boost is not that different than what I experienced with my years with Cricket. I will be curious to see what happens if SpaceX takes the reins.
