HWS and Dish Peaking ?

My purchased HWS/SJ are on there way :). I have been searching Youtube and watching as many videos as I can in trying to learn the interface compared to my VIPs.
One video that I watched said that you can no longer use a Hopper to peak your SAT dish? This sounds pretty stupid to me as I have been using the VIPs for this for a lot of years. Isn't there a "point dish" screen available on the HWS?

Autohop is available the next day for Fox and NBC. ABC O&O stations have a 3 day delay and all CBS stations have a 7 day delay. Recent contract negotiations changed Autohop on ABC and CBS.

I'm aware of the wait as far as "Autohop" is concerned. Since we are currently behind by 3-4 weeks on watching shows this surely won't be a problem :).
Any idea on how to setup a custom folder?

Well SJ showed up yesterdat- HWs this afternoon:). Solo node & Integrator are mounted in rafters in basement. Did as much wiring as I could so far. Few shows recording on L.R. 722K tonight, transfer them to EHD in morning/delete all timers and then finish wiring for Hopper. Plug it in and get to Activation screen, call Dish India and remove both 722s and add HWS/SJ. Once I have programming on HWS I will finish wiring on SJ and power it up! Wish me luck.

Well I installed HWS this morning and called dish to remove my 2 722Ks and add the HWS/SJ. She activated the Hopper and I got it to watching content. Wired SJ and plugged it in- went through setup and go programming on it. Life is good!!
I was able to create a couple folders for me and wife also. Was going to wait until tomorrow to plug in my EHD from 722 but said what the heck. HWS recognized drive and did not try to do a format. Life is great now!!
Still have things to learn but we will get there. Currently my RV 211K is in the living room and unfortunately hitting the power button on it's remote turns the HWS off and on :(. I can't believe that they would be on the same channel. I hit the menu button twice on HWS to get to the system info screen but it didn't give me any remote information. Any idea how to get around this problem?
Also, what the h*ll is this "refer a friend" at the bottom of the guide screen!! Is there any way of getting rid of this crap?

SpaceX has held talks with Boost's parent company EchoStar in recent months about launching its own signature wireless service through a deal with the company, according to two people familiar with the negotiations.
Musk, the SpaceX CEO, has discussed the deal personally, meeting with EchoStar chairman Charlie Ergen last month, according to the people. The potential deal may result in SpaceX acquiring Boost Mobile or SpaceX gaining access to its network, which it leases from AT&T and T-Mobile US, the people said.
Access to those lease agreements would be a coup for SpaceX. The back door would allow Musk to make a play for a U.S. wireless market that equity research firm MoffettNathanson estimates is worth $235 billion. But the proposed service may need consent from those carriers for the service to actually launch, the people said.

Can't remember where or who I saw predict this. :D

It wouldn't surprise me to see Elon soon own all of DISH / Echostar in the future.

Phone service…maybe, but not TV.

Again, if so, why would he want Dish/Sling of all the providers?

He could deliver anything without actually owning, for example, watching the Lions game in my Tesla Y on it's screen via the YT app, while on the way to my future in-laws on Sunday.

If Musk really wants to buy Boost, he might get a great price once Dish Wireless is out of Chapter 11.

Boost just lost 182,000 subs in the 3rd quarter-

Other than the price, my experience with Boost is not that different than what I experienced with my years with Cricket. I will be curious to see what happens if SpaceX takes the reins.
