Every thing was fine with my 2010 LG hdtv until a year or so ago when the image suddenly expanded horizontally so that about 10 % of each side of the picture became obscured. I tried changing the aspect ratio settings without success. So I figured the tv was too old and bought a new 49 inch Samsung Qled tv thinking that would solve the problem. It didn't. I discovered this forum and learned how to set up the Dish satellite receiver as:
Analog type: Off Air, tv type: 1080i, Aspect Ratio: 16 x 9. I thought this would do it but now both the horizontal and vertical portions of the screen were cut off. The next day when we turned the tv on everything was normal and I thought "problem solved"! I was happy. Today when turned on the problem had returned. I am hoping someone can help me solve this problem.

I have a cheap 32" Cielo that I bought at Walmart and I swear it overscans, at least on component from my H3, no matter what I do. (It has no such equivalent as dot for dot.)

First is it a 1080 line screen or 768 line? There is no "dot for dot" setting for a 1080 signal to a 768 TV. 768 TVs even fudge 720p signals. My first HDTV was 768 with a Dish 622, dealing with overscan was part of the deal. When I upgraded to a 1080p TV, I discovered overscan could be avoided by the dot for dot setting. It was interesting because a few of the HD channels were still using the top few lines of resolution to send audio control signals. On those channels you would see artifacts scrolling across the top of the screen in dot for dot mode. After a little while those channels did away with the artifact problem. 622s and 722s are perfectly capable of dot for dot with no overscan with 1080p TVs.

It states the average amount they are under water is OVER $7,000. 
Personally, I tend to be the type that drives a vehicle for a lot of years....do my own oil changes and other fluid changes. Just replaced the spark plugs and a couple coils. Youtube is great for things like this.

For some reason, the satelliteguys.us site is loading a lot slower than usual on both Chrome on my Asus laptop and Safari on my iPhone.
I'm also seeing longer appearances of the blue bar at the top and the "3 blue bars" loading symbol.

I'd probably say when they came up with their M-series of processors with integrated memory. That allowed Apple to get away from the inefficient Intel CPUs that were limiting their notebook computers.when was the last time they innovated something
Over the past few weeks, I have had problems connecting to streaming services (Netflix, HBO et al). When I go to the TV's native Channels, I have no problem. The Dish internet troubleshooter shows I have a good internet connection. I'm wondering whether it's an issue with my internet provider or a problem with the Dish software on the Hopper Plus. Anyone else seeing this?
