Well, what do ya know, it's getting Close to Spring time and this years MLB Baseball.
First up, they have a World Baseball Championship ...
Where all these players that are trying to get in baseball shape are going to determine what Country is best at baseball .... Good Grief
On to Real baseball:
It seems that Baseball has a problem ... they use to have TV contracts for all teams, but the company that it use to deal with has defaulted on thier payment and are just about out of business.
So currently there are some teams that don't have games on TV .... Streaming or OTA or whatever they come up with.
MLB stepped in last year, when this started and took them over, so no games were missed.
There are a few teams that are left looking for TV ... I'm sure as we get closer to the season, they will work something out.
The waiting is the issue, you'd like to get all this taken care of ahead of time.
I believe we are 1 month out as of today.

I'm thinking of switching to DirecTV and wanted to know what equipment I should be asking for.

Moved my mom from long term care to hospice care a couple weeks ago after a stay in the ER. Under hospice care she was suddenly improving and back to normal then yesterday she was kind of all over the place mentally and verbally. This morning just in bed staring at the wall mumbling. No signs of a stroke and bloodwork came back negative for any infections. She'll perk up if she sees the grandsons or if it talking to a nurse she'll try to tell them all about me. Hospice is saying the end is near now, probably a few days to a week.
They're giving her some morphine for pain since she isn't swallowing her normal meds. I'd prefer she not linger in pain. My dad I spent 3 months staying at the hospital 24/7 with him before he passed because Covid protocols wouldn't let any other visitors come and wanted someone there to make any decisions.
When my time comes. I hope to just go in my sleep.

I know HipKat said that they were working on conversions but we got the official news yesterday right from Dish that starting next month all DMA's will be on the western arc, and all customers will be assigned to that. That's gonna mean a lot of customers around here aren't gonna get Dish unless there are exceptions. Too many mountains and trees.

For some reason, the satelliteguys.us site is loading a lot slower than usual on both Chrome on my Asus laptop and Safari on my iPhone.
I'm also seeing longer appearances of the blue bar at the top and the "3 blue bars" loading symbol.
Is anyone else also having the same problem? Thanks in advance.

Has anyone experienced a change on the Hopper3's guide? Last week most of the names of the channels have vanished and been replaced with DISH. Attached are screenshots of what I'm seeing. Also, when I stop at the On Demand channel no pictures are showing. I've updated both the Hopper3 and the Hopper Plus.

From what I have read Tablo is supposed to pass 5.1 surround sound. But no matter what settings I do on the Tablo, Sony TV and soundbar I cannot get surround sound to work. I have the TV set to pass-through.
Any idea on how to get this working? I have a brand new soundbar and I would love to get 5.1 surround sound out of it using Tablo. I tried every channel that I have on Tablo.

Oh I have one of those too.
It blocks 2-72. Was used for internet only service before all the channels were encrypted. Can still be used to prevent receiver sharing to internet only addresses.
I'm not sure what the notch filter blocks because I've tested it on the line and can't find anything getting blocked.

If I had to guess I would say it's supposed to block 14, 18, and 28 through 35 unless the + means it allows 28 though 35.
If memory serves me right back in the early 90's on many cable systems HBO was on channel 14 and Showtime on channel 18.
This may have been used on Paragon cable along with one of these converter boxes.
I remember those. My friend had cable and used one of those to switch channels in the 80s. Even back then it always seemed antiquated to me.
