1 output only for Birdog

I an installing a Dish Pro Dual( single sat lnb with 2 outputs). Since I need to only run 1 to the switch, can I leave a 2nd lead(RG6), just hanging to use with my meter
when I need to repoint dish? Will this hurt signal?

It shouldn't hurt anything, with regards to the LNB and system, if you leave the second lead hanging. You may want to consider at least taping or somehow sealing that loose fitting. If left outside to the elements, it will eventually corrode.
