I got to say, WAPA2 is doing a pretty decent job of broadcasting the MLB series in HD (OTA). Nice picture, original audio, (mostly: I agree, and even like, to have a local guy commenting between innings; what I can't stand is to have people commenting all the time when they are not even in the stadium!). Having this channel uplinked in HD is great news, I just hope they continue broadcasting sports in HD.

I was expecting some HD to be turned on today itself. With wapa2 delayed....looks like we will have to watch another year of playoffs in SD only.

The playoffs are in HD on WAPA2, with an OTA antenna! That's how I am watching them on my 211

You are correct, sorry about your situation. I want a Hopper, but won't get one until the OTA tuner is out There is a lot going on OTA here that I don't think Dish will ever offer...

I dont have hopper but I dont have OTA also.....I just cant put up another antenna up. I tried those small antennas...indoor types...& it can get couple of channels...& outdoor antenna is out of question. So I depends on my dish to watch my TV.

Feel your pain, rajmarie. What worries me is that I was hoping for FoxHD to be uplinked this week. By not being uplinked, I suspect that this means, at least, that we will have to wait until next week for FoxHD to be uplinked, THEN we will have to wait at least another week for testing, etc., so maybe we won't see any new HD until at least 2 or 3 weeks. If that is so, in the best scenario, we will have new HD October 24, which is the beginning of the MLB World Series. So, in your case, you will have miss all the playoffs.... and that is not good news for you.
Can you try one of those indoor antennas again, and point them directly to WAPA? (if you have line of sight) It's worth a shot. Where I live I would have to point my antenna roughly to the south. TV Fool have great maps to find exactly where you have to point, depending on the coordinates where you live. If you want, you can PM me and I can help a bit more with your address and generating the map.
