I switch from directv to dish network and notice how small Dish Networks 1000.2 dish is compare to Directv Slim Line dish. Both the 1000.2 and Slime line use multi-lnb's to pick-up several birds. My question is will the Slim line Dish pickup Dish Network birds using the Dish LNB's?

Dish Network
1000.2 19x24 oval
1000.4 22x28 oval

Directv
Slimline 22.5x32.5 oval

And NO, Dish LNB's only Pick up Dish Satellites
And Directv lnbs only pick up D* satellites.

I see that the Directv Slimline is slighty bigger then the 1000.4 and I would be using Dish LNB's to pickup Dish Satellites only. I understand that Dish LNB's works for dish only. I trying to get better reception from Dish's satellites. Thanks for the info on dish size comparisons.

If you are comparing D* signal strengths to E*s, don't. E* will always be a little lower but not resulting in a weaker signal.
