I have an Eastern Arc dish (1000.4) with a single VIP 622 HD DVR. Since the spring a tree has bloomed and I am losing some HD Channels. I believe most of them are on 61.5. 72 may be fading in and out as well.

61.5 is definitely the one sat that is cutting in and out the most. Can I install a 1000.2 dish and get the HD channels from 129? I know I will need a wing dish for my HD Locals that are on 77 plus a switch. What switch would I need?

I know that 129 has issues the further north you are. I am in Central PA in the Harrisburg DMA.

Thanks in advance!

Yes you can use a 1000.2. It has a built-in switch and an LNB IN port so the 77 wing dish is fed to that LNB IN port on the 1000.2. No external switch is needed. 129 will be relatively low on the horizon so you may have clearance problems in that direction as well. Is there nowhere else to relocate the 1000.4?

Line-of -sight would be different. About 20-30 degrees. Might be enough to clear trees. 1000.2 will do hi-def. using 110, 119, and 129. No need for a wing dish for hi-def, probably not for locals.

did somebody say Winger?
