I am installing a new 1002 dish to a vip 722 receiver. The question is on the lnb there is a lnb-in port and 1-2-3 ports there were no instructions with the dish, so I am wondering what wire goes to lnb-in?

The LNB in port is only used if you have a "Wing Dish". Normal 1000.2 gets 110/119/129 satellite orbital locations. If you require 61.5 for locals or 148W for international you will use the LNB IN port. Otherwise a single coax to any port "except LNB IN" will run your 722 as long as you have a Dish Splitter for both tuners in the 722. Or I run 1 coax per port to my 622 just to keep both coaxial cables to my dish powered to prevent rust on the cables.
