Pointing towards a powerline or being that distance away from one should not bother the satellite signal.

Went on a trouble call this morning on a system that had been in and working fine for some time. Locals kept pixelating and aquiring satellite on all (two 322s) receivers. We use 121 for locals here in the Green Bay, WI area, normally get about 80% signal strength. 110 and 119 worked fine, 121 would show 81% signal but never lock. After having no luck I read this forum back at the shop and called the customer and asked him if he had a radar detector. Turns out he had them for quite some time and usually turned them off when home but forgot one today. As soon as it was turned off everything was fine. This particular detector was in a car parked in the garage about 30 to 40 feet from the dish location. If it can affect 121 with 80% signal I would say it could definitely be a problem for the weaker 105, probably from a much greater distance. Hope this is of some help.
