118.7 and 61.5

Hey

Can someone help me I have a 4 sat setup 119/110/118.7 and 61.5 my account is in Detroit, MI the ird is not within the spot range so when I add 61.5 I lose my HD locals that comes from 118.7 by some reason the ird uses 61.5 for locals which are spotted is there way and can avoid this

You must have a 500+ dish. Why not add the LNB for 129 instead of the wing for 61.5?

cause the 129 sat also spots detroit locals, and my problem will be the same, thanks

Detroit HD locals are not on 129 at this time.

Randall is correct. Detroit HD locals are not on 129. Repointing your 61.5 dish to get 129 and running check switch should correct your problem. At least until 118 removed or switched to spot beam.

As others have suggested, swinging your 61.5 over to 129 is your answer... for now.

When they do put Detroit HD locals on 129, you can probably say "bye bye" to the Conus locals on 118.

They would be totally redundant at that point, plus it would free up that transponder for more Internationals on 118.

Just my .02 of speculation.

so it is not worth it since this fix wont last long right ? and Dish will not leave any HD DMA market on CONUS that sucks I dont understand why there still 3 SD markets on CONUS and non in HD.
