118 sat slot now showing up????????

I have still been having trouble with the 129 satellite like alot of people.I went to the point dish screen on my vip211 receiver and was scrolling threw the different satellite #61.5 105,110 {118} 119,121,129,148.I saw a 118 satellite number however. ANYONE KNOW WHAT DISH IS PLANNING TO DO WITH THAT?:I have never seen the 118 slot before.Maybe they are planning to do something in conjunction with the 129 satellite.Lets hope so anyway.

from what I hear, it will be either be explained at Summit next month or maybe on the retailer chat next week

According to Lyngsat, AMC16 is at 103.5 as of 5/10/06. at the rate it's moving (.85 deg west per day) it will take about 20 days to get to 118

I explained it all over a month ago in the pub area.

To receive 118.7 you will need a new Dish 500+ or a Dish 1000+

The dishes almost look like the current Dish 500 and Dish 1000 however the dish is slightly larger (around an inch bigger for the Dish 500+) and in addition it will sport a new LNB which can pick up the linear signal from 118.7 and circular from 119.

I am working on getting photos of the new Dishes and possibly even one of the new Dish's and LNB assemblys before team summit.

I wonder if the existing superdish 105 is big enough to swap out the 119 LNBF with the new one. If somebody can get me a test sample I'll be glad to review it.
