If you had cascading switches that were replaced by a single DPP44, thereby reducing the number of cables and switches in your signal path, then you could see a bump of a few (3? 5?) points in signal strength. But if you were simply replacing a DP34 with a DPP44, then I don't know why you would see a difference.
