2013 model of Ford Explorer SUV will have lane-alert feature

The 2013 Ford Explorer will be able to alert drivers when they drift into another lane and use corrective steering to pull them back on track, said Sue Cischke, head of sustainability, environment and safety engineering for Ford Motor Co.

Sounds great, but how do you change lanes if every time you try to move over the car drags you back?

(Honestly, I read the article where it says several method override the system.)

That would be handy for my graveyards... I have to drive 30 miles to town after working 12 plus hours and the worst part is the drive in where I am fighting to stay awake...

I agree! Funny the story says "when a teen's phone" WTH!!!!????? What does being a teen have to do with it; I see infinitely more over 30's with phone & driving issues..
