The MAC has now appealed the game to the NCAA FBS oversight committee and the CFP asking that they recognize Western Michigan as the winner.

Mirrored video is what happens on many phones when you record using the selfie camera rather than the main camera.

It is rumored to have something to do with using your phone as a hand mirror.

The NCAA is issuing new guidance "to establish a standard timing protocol that ensures consistency in the administration of all college football games," in the wake of Michigan's controversial 13-12 victory over Western Michigan on Saturday.

ESPN obtained a copy of a memo from NCAA national coordinator of officials Ron Snodgrass, which was approved by the NCAA's secretary rules editor, Matt Young.

"The official time for all college football games is the time displayed on the in-stadium game clock," the memo said. "When a replay review requires time to be restored or otherwise adjusted, the replay official's decision will be based on the embedded game clock contained within the program feed. If the broadcaster is unable to provide an embedded game clock, the replay official will use the game-clock graphic displayed as part of the broadcast feed.

"This timing protocol should be followed consistently at all institutions and game sites."

Had that guidance been in place and followed Saturday, Michigan would not have been given an extra play and Western Michigan would have won the game 12-7, based on the clock shown on the NBC broadcast.

What a choke by OSU.
Played a good 1st half and a poor 4th quarter.

O line still needs work, D line isn't as good as it will be when experience builds ... remember they lost 7 starters to the NFL over the summer.

It was an avg game, neither team played Great ball.
Texas's Running game and O line won that game.

Once again, Ohio State can't make a Field Goal when it counts the most. (had Hawkins (transfer) made his last FG, they would have been up by 4 and Texas would have had to score another TD to win ... big difference ...
Day's 4th quarter offense was poor.

Texas O and D Lines wore them down in the 4th ...

Good win for Texas, they Really needed it.
Both teams are very equal to one another, will be even more so come Playoff time.

Should be Fun !

It sure looked like Ohio State was the best team on the field. But, who knows, if it weren't for those two early turnovers and dropped passes, the early momentum may have not been so lopsided and it may have been a more balanced game.

It seemed like Ohio State could do no wrong in the first half, perfect passes and good receptions. Good balance of run and pass game. Solid defense. In the third quarter, they seemed more human, but still in control.

I didn't see it as a choke. They may have wore down some, as Jimbo said. Mostly, I think, everything just didn't go their way late like it had been and Texas made some key adjustments and gained confidence.

Unless you're a diehard fan (or hater) of one team or the other, it was actually a pretty entertaining game. It will be interesting to see how both teams respond in the coming weeks. Who knows if either team will be in the top 5 at the end of the season?

It's quite possible that Both teams are in the Top 5, at least the Top 10.
This was a #1 vs #5 contest and was a close game ... I don't expect OSU to Drop too much and Texas will move up.

Both teams can and will play better.
7 of the 11 for the Buckeyes Defense started only thier 2nd game in thier career, they will settle in as the Season progresses.

My issue is with the Offense, I think Ryan Day said, lets feed Jeremiah Smith because they held him down pretty good in the last 2 games and he was wanting to Prove something again (unfortunately it's like when he decided that he HAD to run 15 times up the middle against TTUN a few years ago) ... He's often Stubborn

Anyways, Smith played Very well, but could have been better, a drop and a pass that was clearly behind him (announcers expected a completion) but the issue I had was, why did they not spread the ball around, they have Innis and McCuin and the Freshman Chris Henry.

If you spread it around, Smith has even more room to roam.
