21.0 on a 922?

ok i have read multiple threads about how a 21.0 remote works on a 922 but i can not for the life of me get my 21.0 to control or link or even be recognized by my 922. is there a thread that i have overlooked? any help would be appreciated.

Open the battery compartment and switch the 21.0 to IR.
Make sure the remote is set to address 1
Go to remote setup on the 922 and make sure IR is turned on.
Your 21.0 will now control TV1 of your 922

So I tried all that and could not get the remote to address 1. So I took it to my 722 and tried to see if it would work on it. It did but when I addressed it to 1 it saved it as 2? Then I looked down at the remote and noticed the label on the back! It's a 21.1 remote, not a 21.0 remote. I didn't even know a new model was out.

So I address the .1 remote to the 722 and take the .0 remote to the 922. It works!! So I assume the 21.1 remote does not work with the 922? I'm just glad it all works now.
