211 Issue

[TV Junkie 12]

Anybody else ever have this happen? I have my 211 connected via HDMI to the TV. I set the timers in both the receiver and for the DVD recorder to get a movie early this morning from HBO HD. When I checked what was recorded I see the the bouncing Dish logo and the 'Press Select to Continue' on screen for almost an hour when suddenly the proper audio and video appeared from the disc. I ascertained that it appeared at the same time my son got up and turned the TV on to watch something OTA.

Any ideas or is my 211 just stupid? It's been working fine ever since but it sure is aggravating to waste DVD-R's.

You can go into a menu and turn off the standby mode crap. Then time a program to tune to at 3:30 AM. You should be cool until 3 AM the next night.
