Well, they are in SBCs/ATTs original 13state footprint, so they may be one of the first to get it. But that may not be until late 3rd quarter to 4th quarter next year based on the news media. SBC/att is scheduled to roll it out to the public in their home state of texas next summer..

This box does not have iptv in it. Sbc decided to go with scientific atlantic
and motorola for the lightspeed iptv idea and is still in test phases.

This box was suppose to be the brige between satellite (to appease the people that did not have lightspeed) and lightspeed.

This box looked ready for primetime at the ces, then dish and sbc had an arguement, then recently signed a new distribution deal.

The question is what happend to this box. Some press releases say by the end of the year, but I doubt that will happen.

Does anyone know whats up with this box?

I agree that these satellite companies do need to merge/partner with these telco's to be able to compete with cable's video/broadband/voice packages.
