I like that - it looks like Dish now has an entire transponder free on Western Arc for additional HD channels.

What are they going to do with all this new free space on 61.5? I know it still has SD on it but most of the SD was already there and now they have even more space because of the 8PSK switch.

Again, I don't really understand how this works but if they had this much extra space on 72.7 it sure seems like they have had enough room for full time HDRSNs on 72.7 for a long time now. If they didn't before there has to be enough room on 61.5 now doesn't there?

Except for some HD locals, HD is gone from 61.5.

I like that - it looks like Dish now has an entire transponder free on Western Arc for additional HD channels.

I have a suggestion for DISH. From 129, move some of the many HD channels that were made unavailable to Puerto Rico customers, to this transponder on 110.
(You will make a lot of people happy, and still have space available for more HD on 129)

Directv use to share the 72 area with Dish. Directv had some locals on there but they have been vacating those for a while (moving them to 99 & 103 aka the HD sats). At the end of January Directv left completely so dish had the whole satellite spot now (all 32 transponders).

I remember when Dish tried to screw me into saying that my mixed 119, 110, and 61.5 arch was sufficient for my ordering preferences. If I took their answer, I wouldn't have only paid to not get channels like Epix, but now I would be missing a lot more. I think, I really don't pay much attention to the Western Arc.

I have a suggestion for DISH. From 129, move some of the many HD channels that were made unavailable to Puerto Rico customers, to this transponder on 110.
(You will make a lot of people happy, and still have space available for more HD on 129)

I hope Dish does that....move over some HD channels from 129 to this transponder on 110 eg Science channel so that subs in Puerto Rico can get those channels in HD

I like that - it looks like Dish now has an entire transponder free on Western Arc for additional HD channels.

Would be nice if they start migrating internationals on either 61.5 or even 77 as this will ensure single dish installations. They do have lots of space available now specially on 61.5.

I believe they are doing this to free up 61.5 until they move the new sat into place of 61.5.

They just recently got done migrating international channel OFF of 61.5 (the original home of most international channels)! Why on Earth would they put them back now!

What they need on Eastern Arc is more HD locals! I'm tired of seeing PBS, CW, and other minor channels added to Western Arc almost every week. What did they put up 77W for? Not only don't they seem to be using it for much, but then they came up with the new LNBF that doesn't even include it!
