I believe these are the TPs that E-3 and E-12 can not provide signal from which means expect E-6 activation very soon. I believe TP # 2 is the fifth TP that is unuseable by Dish at 61.5 W currently.

I need to rename these TIDs but of course I'll never really know which transponder is which unless I get reports from someone that is out of E6's pattern but inside E3's pattern.

Renamed the TIDs since E3 can't do these anyways.

What would make some sense is if international programming moved off of E3 to E6. Then they could use 118.7 as a backup for the footprint problem areas of E6.

Then they could use more spots on E12 or CONUS on E3 as needed.

Something similar to this has been posted elsewhere by someone else.:D

There has not been any new approvals posted at the FCC regarding E-6 operations but if those TPs and producing a signal, they must be coming from E-6 since neither E-3 or E-12 can provide a signal from them. I am assuming that the on-line updates at the FCC are not being updated quickly.

Does anyone remember the TPs that E3 can not downlink on?

I have a huge PDF of all the stats and capabilities of E12 floating around somewhere, should be able to cross reference which ones E6 would be sending out on.

The only even numbered TP that E-12 can downlink is TP 24. I am almost positive that the TPs that E-3 could not downlink were TP 4, 6, 12, 26 and 28. I thought TP #2 was one but it was #12. Curious about TP 12. E-6 has had some failures so perhaps it can't provide signals from TP 12 either although I thought it was doing all the even TPs at 72.7 W.

Looks like we won't see channels for subs on E6. They are sticking with the hot spare theory for now.

On March 3, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of EchoStar Corporation to operate the EchoStar 6 space station
temporarily as an in-orbit spare at the 61.65 W.L. orbital location. Accordingly, EchoStar is authorized, for a period of 60 days, commencing on
February 15, 2010, to conduct Telemetry, Tracking, and Telecommand (TT&C) operations necessary to operate EchoStar 6 temporarily as an
in-orbit spare at the 61.65 W.L. orbital location. EchoStar is authorized to use the 17,305 MHz frequency for telecommand and the 12,203 and
12,204 MHz frequencies for telemetry during these operations. EchoStar is also authorized to activate the Direct Broadcast Satellite
communications payload on EchoStar 6 to conduct tests and in the event of a service outage of the EchoStar 3 or EchoStar 12 space stations.

Transponders 4, 6, 26, and 28 are now all up on Echostar 6.
Transponders 4 and 6 have video channels, but no PAT yet.
Transponders 26 and 28 have no video channels at this time.

Echostar 6 Transponder 4 is now duplicating channels on Echostar 3 Transponder 10.
Echostar 6 Transponder 6 had channels, but is now empty.

Echostar 6 Transponder 26 is now duplicating channels on Echostar 3 Transponder 8.
Echostar 6 Transponder 28 is now duplicating channels on Echostar 3 Transponder 14.
