So, this is interesting. Did those two markets really get moved back to the conus beam or is this an issue with the uplink report?

It COULD be a recycled TID# on E16, but the uplink report thinks it's an E15 TID.

FYI:

TID#1480 is TP20, SP63
TID#1418 is TP18, SP57
TID#1499 is TP19, SP54
TID#1573 is TP23, SP3

:D

Odd, if those are the right beams, they should have no trouble covering the respective DMAs. Even if the power was a little low, each market is well inside the beam. I also thing at least one person would be complaining they lost locals when they switched.

Currently the Grand Rapids MI beam has no signal on the respective Transponder I am north of it but have been able to see it in the past

Leave it on TP19 for a few minutes at least. I have seen the new satellite take forever to get a lock.

Maybe they moved them to CONUS because they want to change where they are uplinked from. Perhaps they move to CONUS, do their rerouting and then put them back on spot beam.

The new beams are tighter, so you may be out of luck.

Nevermind, I didn't notice, did you try TP11? If the uplink report is accurate, then they moved to CONUS TP11

Talked to someone living in Grand Rapids Mi transponder 19 spot is at 9 percent It use to be at 70 Sounds like signal issues

Or they could have just powered it down.

I'd think if it was an issue, we'd see at least one customer on this or the other site complaining of getting locals knocked out. Perhaps you might ask them if locals had been going out before the move.

KMSP in Mpls St. Paul was out this morning. Screen said something like "no need to call Dish is aware of the problem"

That screen typically comes when you are trying to get a SPOT and are out of it. I got it when they moved PITTS to Spot and I lost my conus SPOT ironically.

Comes up anytime you lose signal on a local. I've got it when the channel was actually down (i.e. the transmitter was out where Dish gets programming), during rain fade events locally, and during rain fade events at the uplink center that delivers my locals. Could also come from spot issues. Your receiver is just programmed to say that for locals whenever the signal lost screen would normally come up. They are just trying to prevent calls.
