36" Actuator on a 6' dish

Hi guys, I have a 6' dish with polar mount that I am putting up soon.
I have gotten for next to nothing a brand new 36" Actuator/motor, would there be a problem using it with the 6'? I know it is overkill, with the weight and size, but it should work with the smaller 6' dish right? just that it would have a longer stroke length. Correct?

It should work - just make sure the pole is high enough where the motor doesn't touch the ground and set the limit switch to prevent damage to the dish or mount from overextending the arm.
