I'm sure you meant 1.5 Mb/s. The transfer rate in the article would be over 26,000 times faster...

It would be sort of pointless though. Where could you download anything that would be able to take advantage of your speed? Aren't you limited by the uploader?

In the short term yes, but remember what Bill Gates said 20+ years ago...

"No one will ever need more than 640k of ram"

Or IBM thinking that no one would ever have a need for a computer in their home.

The time time will come when 40g/sec will be painfully slow. :

If only they had hard drives for personal computers that you didnt have to setup some form of RAID that could be as fast as the internet speed
