48 hour EPG on 811 tonight

I just tried the EPG on my 811 tonight and had information for at least 48 hours. I am still showing software version 263. Has an update bee downloaded?

It works at times

Friday night and most of the day Sat. I had the EPG for at least 48hours, however I noticed that when I was on a channel and tried to see what was coming on that channel later I still could not tell.

I just hing up from a 3rd level CSR. He told me the EPG will be fixed in the 264 software version. FYI

Mike, Did he say anything about when this update will be done?

811 Epg

When DISH sends out the updates, they do it in stages. Not all units receive it at the same time. It could take a week or so. I know this because I used to work for DISH.

He also told me about version 265, which will fix the dark picture problem. I asked "when". He said that a version update is "every few weeks" for new equipment. And that I should see both within 6 to 8 weeks. His words not mine.

Sheesh, last night my program guide only went out for ONE hour and tonight it had no info at all. Had to wait about 20 minutes for it to populate itself and even then it was only an hour and a half of info. Unacceptable, IMO. They really have to get this fixed.
