Hope they keep the channel I like it better than the Weather Channel just my 2 cents.

The strange thing is it's The Weather Cast that is broadcasting the slate. A number of people have emailed me and told me that their C Band feed is showing the same slate.
 
RE: 213 Local?

Hopefully DISH and The Weather Channel will be able to come up with a Weatherscan-type product that we can access by plugging in a zip code.

Are there any techies here that can explain why Directv was able to get a local version of "local on the 8s" via zip code and DISH never could? I'd love to hear the explanation.
 
Charlie made TWC blink by adding WeatherCast.

Why not keep the heat on until TWC2 is really ready to launch and have WeatherCast do their thing in the meantime?

Maybe to save production and salary costs on something that's now a lame duck?
