Was looking to get a PS3 yesterday, wasnt able to find an 80gb SKU anywhere because I want it as a gaming machine and not primarily as a BD player.

That being said, I still wanted to take advantage of the 5-free offer.... which expired yesterday.

Haven't seen anything anywhere saying this was extended or there was a new offer, anyone seen whispers of this finally ending or being extended/refreshed?

Wasn't the 5 free blu-ray movies finsihed a coupel of weeks ago? i thought it ended on Feb 1 or something... i bought my PS3 a couple weeks ago, just a week after the promo was over.

Personally, I don't think we'll see another 5 free offer. The last one started the day after the preceding one ended.

I think they'll pack in 1 or more movies with PS3s, and MAYBE some other players- but mostly move to price reductions on players, late in the year.
