508 color problems

Hi,

I have a 508 and the screen colors suddenly changed today. What would normally be a Caucasian skin tone has turned to Smurf blue. Many other colors have changed to a mix of maroon and peach. Everything was fine this morning, but the whole picture changed tonight when I turned it on. There are no magnets anywhere nearby, which was my first thought. The color change covers the whole screen, not just a small area like when you move a speaker too close to the TV. Anyone have any experience with this effect or suggestions on how to get me back to normal colors?

Sounds like a degaussing problem with the TV, not the 508. Colors still there w/508 off? I assume turning TV off, pause, & back on did not work.

Sounds like one of the guns on your picture tube just went out. That is if it is a tube type TV.
