Problem: When the system thinks it needs a program guide update, it locks up, forcing a system reboot, after which the guide is updated.
I've assumed this is a software problem and therefore have lived with it. Both systems otherwise work well.
I'm keeping one of the 508's so the wife can retain some shred of sanity while I go on to later technology. Eventually she will upgrade as well.
As a newbie to this site (pretty dang good), I thought I'd ask if anyone or everyone else has the same problem?
I assume they all do, if used as heavily as we use ours. But I don't see a discussion of this (via search).
Either no-one else has the problem, or eveyone just lives with it, or everyone has a work-around.
