50px950 not playing 3d from 80gb PS3

i just purchased a LG 50px950 3d plasma and cant seem to get the ps3 to play any 3-d content through to the tv can anyone help

Have you downloaded all updates to the PS3? Are you connected with HDMI? Does your TV auto or manually switch?

have all the PS3 updates tried 2 different HDMI a cheap one and a MC1000hd2m it does both auto or manual to switch over to 3d but all i get is a black or gray screen no picture but has audio
