522 Display?

There is a large display on the front of this DVR. I was hoping there would be a clock display but I cannot find anything in the manual about this. Is this a possibility? What is the display for? Thanks!

There's no display that I know of - only the 4 LEDs.

There is 6 LED's on the right side.

Just to the left of those there are 2 IR Sending LEDs for IR Blasting to a VCR and there is also an IR pickup. All 3 set about dead center.

From the center to the left there is a black piece of tape covering the metal chassis. This is to cut the reflection of the metal. There is room for a display, but the chassis would have to be cut and the circutry installed. Really not an option for the current design.
