522 remote interfering with 811.

I recently upgraded to a 522 in my bedroom, which is on the other side of the wall where my 811 sits. Whenever someone controls the 522 in the bedroom, it also affects the 811. Is there a remedy for this?

Change the address for the 811 and remote. It's in the user's manual under "Customize your remote" or something like that.

He might want to change it on the 522 instead. I don't know about the 811 (does it use the "new" or "old" method to change the remote address?) but changing the remote address on the 522 setup menu make it very easy to do.

I don't know about the 522, but the 811 only needs a sequence of about 5 button pushes to change the address.

811/522 interference

To answer the 811/522 question, i'm ATR and the best way to fix this problem is to take both tv1 an tv2 remotes into the tv1 location. Enter the 522 menu with number 1 remote, type 6-1-3 for sys info, that way you won't program the 811 at the same time.. readdress the 522 tv2 by holding sat in for 6 seconds, release it (it should be flashing), type in a number 1-15, press #, then record.. You're set..
