I have a 4 yr old 522 that had the caller ID functioning fine with the Dish supplied Wireless phone jack. Suddenly, callers to my house were hearing a modem pick-up and then hang-up the line after 3 rings. If I disable the caller ID function on the 522 the phone will ring normally. If I connect a telephone wire directly to the 522 from the wall (3 rooms away not a practical permanent solution) the caller id functions perfectly. Dish has replaced the cordless jack pair now 3 different times with exactly the same results. In addition, I purchased an RCA wireless Modem jack and had the modem pick up/hang-up after one ring. Dish has just swapped out the 522 with a new one but the symptoms were still the same.
Any suggestions?....other than call the phone co to drop a new line?
