Six years ago, I setup a stationary dish at my house aimed at 97W. Fortunately, since then I have not touched the dish and the signal remains strong. Several times during those years we had gusty winds, but no impact on the dish. The dish is installed on the Southern chimney side up and above the roof level.

Dish: Fortec Star 31" with side support struts (struts are key in keeping the dish steady)
LNBF: Fortec Star Single Universal LNBF.
Coaxial: Perfect Vision single RG6/U with ground.

Yup, my ol' Radio Shack dish has bee on track for 20 years now. Surviving the worst Wisconsin weather I've lost signal because of wind wiggling the dish. And because of snow build up, but the tracking has held true. I even had it jump the big spur gear that drives it and it flopped over to one side, but once the gear was repaired it was as good as new.
