I have a 612 in a closet and I am using a russound SaphIR IR system. the 612 respondes less than 20% of the time, It's not the IR system because all the other equipment works fine. Also I took out a 311 and it worked fine with the ir system. Russound makes a 56kz blocker tried that and that did not help. Is there something different about the way the 612 receives it's IR as compared to other sat receivers also is there any way to turn off the RF system in the 612 so it will only receive IR ,removing the RF ant does not help. just a note I am using a Harmony remote that works on my 722 just fine and the remote address are both on 1.
