612 VIP so slow channel changing

i've had the 612 vip for 4 months and it's always been like this,when i change a channel the screen goes black for about 2 seconds then i get audio,then about 2 seconds later vidio.it's the same if i use the up and down arrow on the box.does anyone else have this problem?

Yes. We've had ours since the middle of Jan and it's quite annoying. The other thing that's annoying is it's sluggish when using the skip back or skip forward function. It also goes crazy by not accepting commands from the remote or control panel. It reboots itself occasionally. The 510 I had was rock solid as was the 625. Both were replaced with th 612 and a 211 (with an EHD). The 211K is pretty solid.
