625 problems

My neighbors TV1 on a 625 keeps randomly shutting down and randomly powering back on. TV2 works fine. Sometimes the unit is recording during the night when no timers were set. Tech support doesn't know anything, as usual, and was sure that someone within 200 feet has the same remote address. WRONG. Just to be sure I've changed the remote address and still does the same thing. the Inactivity option is disabled as well. Plus his DVR page doesn't hold the same recordings as mine.

Anyone know if there is any information in the diagnostics screen under counters that would give a clue that something wasn't right?

I'm getting a replacement ready as I think it is a defective receiver.

Even if your remote was working his that does not mean that the recordings would be the same. It could be different recordings. On the other hand if your remote is working his then why wouldnt his work yours? TV1 is IR anyways and does not turn channels through the walls.

I've got them converted to UHF. (I forgot to mention that)

I'm on my way to swap it out.
