72 with a dish 500?

72.7 with a dish 500?

So I have a mixed arc setup and have been procrastinating on switching to ea because I own my system and am a mover. Needles to say I'm not having dish come to my house. Seems dish has forced my hand finally.

For now can I repoint my 110/119 dish 500 at 72.7 since I don't need 77 right now? I'm a little tight on cash for the next few months before buying a 1000.4

I have a dp34 switch with the main dish on the roof (trees) and the wing on a pole. I have issues with snow on my wing all the time (upstate ny) so I'm worried about putting a 1000.4 on the roof.

You should be able to use the 500 and get both 61.5 and 72.7 on the one dish, if you have a second dish, you can point to 77 (it does have the 9 day guide info on it) and not need the 1000.4 dish at all.

you mean the Twin? no. They are too close (less than 5 degrees) when the LNB "eyes" see 9 degrees apart.

Actually the other sat site, that dare not speak it's name, has a thread about people who are using a dish 500 picking up both 72.7 and 61.5 sats using a twin. I don't have any personal experience with it myself, but there are people who said on the other site that it works.

Yes, you may be able to get 61.5 and 72. Use DishPointer link from this site, and use settings for 1000.4.

Successfully pointed my 110/119 dish at 72.7. Didn't bother trying to get both 61 & 72 on one dish cause I have the two dishes already and was a little freaked out on my 12-12 pitch roof. The worst part was I got 61.5 the first time around and the check switch took forever
