So I'm watching the Lost finale live (I haven't really been following it, otherwise this would have been much more frustrating) on my 3 wk old 722, and all of a sudden the picture freezes.

While the picture is frozen, the audio continues to play for maybe 2 minutes. Then it stops too. After that the 722 is completely non-responsive, the same frame is displayed on-screen and nothing will change it. I check the other TV and remote, and that is frozen too.

Eventually I hit the reset button, and after rebooting, everything seems fine (10 minutes later).

What the heck happened? Is this a common problem?

One of my two 722s was doing that. After four months of calls, tech. visits, repoints, new LNBs, four 'new' receivers, I emailed ceo@echostar.com. They took care of it with 722k's... at no cost since my problem could not be solved any other way (apparently).

My opinion (based on no substantial intelligence apart from my 722's history) is that certain hardware combinations do not play nicely with the newer versions of the software.
