722 HD Sound Problem

All of my HD channels sound is coming through distorted. SD is fine. I rebooted the receiver with no change in sound quality. Any suggestions?

We could use some more info. For example, how do you have your 722 hooked up? HDMI, optical, etc.. Also, what do you use to listen with, TV speakers, or A/V receiver and and surround sound?
Most HD programming is 5.1 Dolby Digital, while SD is 2-channel stereo, so there's a good chance there's an issue with what ever processes your sound...

This has happened to me as well though it is not constant. I get my audio through an optical plug. It me be distorted for about 5 minutes or so and then clear up. But this has happened on SD channels as well at least for me. It has also happened on recorded programs. I was starting to think that it was my amplifier (which is new) but maybe not.
