Every time we have tried installing 722k receivers we have had issues with the #2UHF remote range. Functions sometimes however most other time range is poor. Have tried using different codes both A&B, Tried moving antenna away from TV & receiver, even tried two splitters one going directly to UHF ant in to splitter in remote location. Would not work at all with splitter in remote location with ant in same. Dish Tech seems to think this is not common however we have not had one that has worked yet.

add a regular tv amp at the remote or central location. get one with adjustable gain.

i had this trouble years ago some walls have metal lathe,

with the amp turned up all the way it worked 100s of feet away. way too good. , many homes away
turned gain down till it just worked, and locked all receivers so a neighbor cant buy PPV or porn on my receiver.

the amp has wrked flawless for over 12 years

Have you tried the splitter trick? Works perfect and it's pretty easy.

Just connect a 2 way splitter to the tv2 output and the tv2 antenna port it will look similar to how the seperator is connected to both sat inputs. The "in" part of the splitter goes to tv2.

@ tv 2 use another splitter. this time the cable coming from the wall goes into the "in" part of the splitter. One of the "out" parts goes to the tv and the other gets the antenna for tv 2.

hope that makes sense. I have installed it on many houses where tv2 remote just doesnt work, i.e. too far away, hardwood floors, etc. It's even worked when tv2 was in another building. crazy.

Thanks for the suggestions, I have tried the amp & the splitter solution, splitter solutions has worked on 622,722 installs when needed, has not helped on the problems we have had with 722k #2 remote.

I've had the same problem with my regular 722 TV2 remote. I called Dish and we did the troubleshooting over the phone. OF COURSE I couldn't get the problem to happen at the time but very intermittent functionality reemerged that night. At the time the Tech suggested that there could be an interference problem.

Dish ultimately sent me a replacement remote for TV2. i have basically the same problem, just a little more reliable. I must have some kind of interference problem. I mean, the distance from the remote to the splitter & antenna is about 7 feet! Lights off, Microwaves off, Wi-Fi devices at least 50' away. I'm stumped.
