8 way

Hope this is the right forum - I need to find a good 8 way cable tv splitter. I have the cable line split up to many times that is causing ingress on channels 2,4,5 and a bit on 7. Do I need a splitter that's rated from 5mhz to 1000mhz or something higher that goes into the Ghz range?

I know there are 8 way splitters out there....I have an old 6 way from a Radio Shack dealer

All of your quality splitters nowadays are going to go up to 1 Ghz. One of the best ways to determine a quality splitter is how heavy it is. Those cheapy Wal-mart ones are so thin you could almost dent them by squeezing them between your fingers. Those are not shielded at all, and are not doing a good job of keeping signal in and/or out of your cable. We use 8-way splitters made by Regal. I dont think they are sold in stores but they may have a website or something.

I usually buy Channel Vision splitters from HomeTech here:

In fact, I have the 8-way from them hooked up after a 15db drop amp.
