I’m a relatively new owner of the 811 and have a question regarding Dolby Digital for the OTA major networks. I am yet to watch a movie on one of the major networks that are simulcast in HDTV and also in DD 5.1. Every time, it just comes in DD two channel with just the two front speakers. I do receive DD 5.1 on 4 HDTV satellite channels. Two of the last movies I watched were Men in Black last week on NBC and The Patriot last night on CBS. I was just wondering if anyone else out there watched these movies and if so, did it come in DD 5.1 for you.

Try watching HD on your ABC station. The only HD OTA broadcats I remember for sure with DD5.1 have been on ABC.
Also, I've heard that some local stations don't broadcast in DD5.1.

Try catching CSI. I believe that is on DD5.1 Also the HD NBA games should be 5.1.. ABC also has a movie of the week on Saturday night 8pm West coast time that is usually DD 5.1. If you look around you should be able to find something on the locals (OTA). Should not be too hard.
