Can the 811 remote be programmed to use infared instead of UHF to control the receiver? The only reason I want to know is because I hooked up the little UHF antenna to the OTA antenna in and it picked up the local digitals just fine, so I thought if could program the remote for infared, I could take back the $20 UHF antenna I bought from radio shack.

Or, if you're really on a budget, you could try making one out of a 6" piece of RG-6 and a connector. Just strip all the shield from the end of the connector to the other end leaving just the center conductor. Dunno if it'll work, but it's certainly work a try. :)

Let us know if it works. :D

What exactly is the 49% problem ?

Did I damage my HD tuner?
