Loving my 922 and I am not having any major issues.

When I stream from the 922 on my LAN, does the data have to go up to dish and then back to me on my WAN connection, or does it travel directly from the 922 over my CAT6 to my client? The reason I ask is that my ISP has a cap.

J.

How are you watching it? Is it the sling part at dish network?

Yes. I am noticing that on my gigabit network, the HD bitrate hits 8000 Kbps which is way over my ISP Download speed, so it must be staying local. The only down side is if my isp goes down, TV2 goes down.

Dish, we need a dedicated application to sling.

Thanks,

J.

Here is an older version of Slingplayer many of us have been using, just make sure you don't update it.

which doesn't stream HD

In the settings I believe you can go as high as 1920X540, I have seen streaming rates over 8000 Kbps. I have been able to use it outside my network also, connected with no issues, launched and started streaming. It is surely better than nothing.

The main issue I have had is that it is not widescreen. It cuts the sides off the HD channels. The iPhone app cuts them too.

What do I need to tell him/her...
