942 $200 Rebate - On Your Bill / Not Rebate Check

... I just simply stated that Dish makes out because they are getting their $299 back.

They are not getting one cent more than they would have had you simply paid your bill each month on time. That said, they are getting the use of your money ($200 to start) which does have a value to them and a loss to you.

SaltiDawg - You are right, but it is $200 here. It isn't like we are talking about a ton of money. I'm just glad that I don't have to deal with a mail in rebate that takes weeks or months to get back. Because they would have use of my money for a longer period of time.

At least they are giving you the credit all at once. They could have done it by waiving the DVR fee for 33 months, or giving you a free upgrade to the new HD packs for 10 months.

I thought it would be a 10 dollar credit for 20 months.
