A new player coming to subscription Digital TV

USDTV - OTA service provider eliminates Satellite and Cable. Right now, they are only available in Albuquerque, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.

You buy their receiver ($99) and put up an antenna. Cost is $19.95 per month. $5 charge for each additional receiver. They also transmit HD stuff. As they grow in coverage, they should put a big damper on Cable and Satellite I would think.

Maybe a month old, but they are up and running now. HD, OTA receiver for $99 is pretty good. (Provided it is not the 811!) I saw their TV for the 1st time last night. Sounds pretty interesting and is one to watch for in the future as they expand. It is obviously a metro service but will beat the price of Sat and Cable.

has the ota folks in alb. all stirred up. If they sold bandwidth on my only local sd digital it wouldnt make much differance. (pq already worse than the regular broadcast)
