I just scanned Galaxy 19 and found a new channel: ABN TV

11960 V 22000

"ABN TV has been created to bridge the gap between the ethnic and main stream broadcasting and in doing so, to reflect the interest and aspirations of the African-Caribbean, British and European communities."

and

"ABN TV is a satellite TV network based in the UK broadcasting on the SKY platform. The product will be offered globally to platforms such as Direct TV and Dish network in the USA and also to several Cable ends in Europe and Africa, applying different business models where necessary."

If its picked up by Dish Net and DirecTV, it'll go encrypted.
Enjoy it for a few weeks. ;)
?.
BTW, isn't Sky a sister company of DirecTV?

Don't know whether SKY is a sister company of DirecTV or not. If it is, then SKY would be considered the "black sheep" of the family, considering the number of FTA channels that are broadcast from its transponders!

WARNING!: Only view the above link if you can control your anger about how we are shafted here in North America as far as the number of FTA channels we can receive. Try also not to notice the number of American based FTA channels they get on this one orbital location. Be mellow! LOL!

Browsing the list of FTA channels for another European bird (Astra @19.2E) I see a lot of FTA german channels,

But also Al Jazeera English, Russia Today or RT which is RT News not RT America that we have over here, France 24 but also in their other flavors, like RT Español, France 24 in French, etc.}

And BBC World News also FTA, which is only available as suscribed channel in North America (and last I checked only in Canada´s Bell and Shaw and Sky Mexico but not on Dish and DirecTV).
