Is there any way to increase the range of the access point? I posted before about a weak signal in an upstairs room. One of the suggestions was to move the AP. So I ran some CAT5 in the wall to an unused upstairs bedroom and installed the AP there. I would still occasionally lose the signal in the other room. The signal strength would fluctuate around 25. So I temporarily used a long cable and moved it to the room where it had been weak. Great signal, but now our BR downstairs has a weak signal and looses signal. Is it possible that I have an AP with weak output? Our house is really not that big that we should be having these problems.
