Does it matter if the motor portion of the actuator is at the top or bottom? I was playing around with an actuator today and noticed that if the motor was positioned to the left or right side the actuator would stall on some portitions, while if it was at the top or bottom it would be fine.

The motor is positioned at the top above the arm. That way moisture that seeps into the arm does not collect in the motor and ruin it.
